Between the Lines (BTL): Peace and the Writing Experience brings together international and American youth, ages 15-18, for two weeks of intensive BTL summer programming hosted by International Writing Program and the University of Iowa. Between the Lines: Peace and the Writing Experience is sponsored through a cooperative agreement with the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.

In addition to their daily writing workshops or global literature seminars, participants from BTL: Peace and the Writing Experience were introduced to professional writers and their work in special topic seminars including "Digital Storytelling" with Lauren Haldeman. Participants chose from various styles of poetry film creation, including "one-shot" and time-lapse to create their own digital stories. Below is the showcase of their poetry film work!
